President Trump: The NEW one and only politics thread

In going back through the cleanup work Ragu had to do, I find it funny that the people who bitch about us the most are the people who NEVER leave. Some people are just born to be bitchy assholes, I guess. THIS PLACE SUCKS AND THE MODERATORS ARE IDIOTS - yet here you are, all day every day.

Enjoy the 4th, we'll see most of you on the other side. Not all of you. Some of you need to go. It's a big ol' Internet, as I've said many times, so find another place to hang out and spew your bullshit.

 

Let me be real clear on this - when we reopen, posts like this will cause another shutdown. Maybe permanent. His son is 11. We have members here who have special needs family members, including me. I'm less than thrilled this guy is our president but leave his 11-year-old son out of it. That's disgusting and it reflects on you much more than anyone else. Basically letting the world know you're an asshole.

If you can't stop yourself from making posts like this, please don't post here.

The kid is 11 for chrissakes. Even if he was 31, it is out of line.

 

Ok, we're backkkkkkk. Hope everybody had a nice break and calmed down a bit. Let's try this again, with a few "rules" to think about if you want this to continue.

*Tone it down, in general. We let more go here than elsewhere but still. Be an adult. Don't go over the top.

*The 11-year-old kid is totally off limits. I get that the president's daughter and son-in-law are involved and are therefore fair game, but let's stop with the over-the-top crap about doing his daughter, etc. If that's the best shot you can take, you ain't got shit. So don't go there.

*Quit criticizing us. You have a complaint, bring it to us and we'll discuss it. Like adults. Ask QYFW - he had an issue and we had an actual discussion and on we went. We're not as bad as some of you make us out to be and even when we are wrong, suck it up and deal with it. We've never claimed perfection and don't now. This is how much we suck: We had a guy OUT someone years ago, said it did it because "that kind of thinking has to be stopped." Then we gave him another chance. His reaction was to continue to be a mean-spirited douchebag and to criticize the moderating. So he's gone again. I'm sure he'll be back with another name and get away with it for a while. As soon as we figure it out again (and we will), he'll be gone again. We work hard NOT to ban people and NOT to suspend people. Sometimes we do. You want to take a hike in solidarity, be our guest. We'll muddle through somehow. But just do it and STFU about it. I realize I'm typing to a very small minority here. Most of you folks I'd take a bullet for and I appreciate how you handle things here.

*Don't start dickbag threads like "hey, what are some of the PMs you've received" just to be an asshole. We're running out of patience with a few of you.

*In short, don't be an asshole. That's my job and I do it well enough for all of us.
