This seemed like anyone could have claimed that they were the meme originator, and could have apologized profusely and deleted stuff, etc.

What if the Reddit person turns out to be a false flag operation, and CNN has nothing, absolutely nothing, but egg on their face and further tarnish on their reputation?

I just don't see how certain CNN can be that they got the right person. The way the Reddit person called, identified himself, etc., hell the whole thing sounds fishy and a setup. Sometimes, some leads are too good to be true.

So, I wouldn't be surprised to see another meme creator lay claim to the logo beatdown over the next few days.

If I followed NPR on Twitter (or indeed if I still used it regularly at all), I'd have found it fairly annoying to have my timeline flooded like that. But dear Lord we've got some people on edge in this country. America in general, left, right and center, needs to have a couple of beers and watch the waves crash on the beach awhile.
