I'm going to sound like a fanboi, but there is something special about this Dodger team.

It wasn't that long ago they were in third place, now they've swept Colorado and Arizona, winning the last game of each series with a late comeback.

Too many disappointing Octobers recently, but this could be different, especially since the Nats, the only other really good team in the NL, has no pen

 

As an independent observer, this is a special Dodgers team.

 

The Dodgers looked special in 2013 and look what that got them.

 

Your everyday infield triple.

 

That is great. Watching him round second and head to third.... awesome.

 

Is that the catcher's job to get to third there? Because he never moved. Or would it be the left fielder's?

 

Off the top of my head, the 2001 Mariners were special, the 2002 A's were special... the 2004 Dodgers were special (walk off Grand Slam by Finley to win the west) and I am forgetting a ton of others.

Teams special in July aren't always special in October.

 

Catcher. But if he actually had done it, they would have said it was a remarkably heads-up play, and raved about it. Meaning it wasn't expected.

 

The Angels have had several wins like this so far, and nobody thinks they are special.

 

When the 2001 Mariners blew a 14-2 lead going into the 7th inning on Sunday Night Baseball, it kinda took the sheen off that team in my mind. I know it's one game, but it did.

 

One of my all-time favorite baseball games. Friend and I in Cleveland were still watching game for some reason.
