So Tillerson and Lavrov, the Russian foreign minister, have offered very differing accounts of the Trump-Putin meeting, at which they were the other two attendees. Four people, all with every incentive to lie about what was said, and one of whom may have already forgotten what was said.
My guess, it was a long meeting because Trump blathered on as is his wont, and Putin, like any good intelligence officer (or reporter for that matter) spent his time listening and egging Trump on.

 

They should have just laid back and enjoyed it.
