She probably left you 50k, but the lawyers got rest. Enjoy what you got, it was her decision.

I will be glad to help you get set up to where you don't have to pay taxes for your money, and I'll do it nearly free of charge.
Just 3 beers a piece for me and my coworkers.

One of the best posts I've read in a while. You've earned it, especially as it was done out of love and concern for another person.

My neighbor is 84. A widow since 2001. Has Alzheimer's with one hell raising grown daughter who shows up twice a week.

My poor neighbor doesn't know my name anymore, gets lost at least once a week on her walks (she is in really good physical shape for her age), sometimes yells at me or accuses me of something when I get the mail and she's outside. She often locks herself out of her house (I do have a copy of a key, from her family).

I care for her a great deal and have for years. Last month, the fire trucks showed up as she cooked something, forgot to turn it off and went for a walk. Smoke alarms fired off throughout the house. No major damage. Just smoke.

What you did for your neighbor clearly touched a nerve. Be proud, Killick.

Buttsteak. There's an insult that needs to become more popular.

If I hear so much as a mouse fart in here the rest of the night, I swear by God and Sonny Jesus, you will all visit the infirmary.

Love the Shawshank-jack, since I'm currently sitting on my Mom's front porch here in sunny Mansfield, Ohio: Home of the old Ohio State Reformatory, the prison used to film Shawshank. Seems entirely appropriate.

    That said...

What are you Jimmies staring at? Back to work!
