For all his faults, Trump's most damning has been living a life so lacking in empathy, compassion or grace and in such isolating fashion that when he reached the presidency, the only people he could trust, the only people willing to even work for him were his own family members or washouts.

He couldn't even create a figurehead presidency. There was no one to do the real work.

 

Employing a foreigner for campaign work and meeting with a representative of a foreign government with quid pro quo policy decisions (then lying about it on your security clearance forms) are now exactly the same thing.
