We don't actually know who wrote the original check(s). It's been reported that it was #NeverTrump Republicans, but they've never been identified.

Neither have the Dem donors who continued to finance the operation once the Republican primaries ended.

    Always. Those. Goddamned. Russians.

Whether it's Junior, Manafort, Flynn, Kushner, Sessions or Page, there's a common thread. They never met with the Russians. Er, except I forgot one meeting. Wait, it was two meetings. Oh, and the third meeting, but that one was short. But other than that, no one ever met with any Russians.

The adoption of Russian children is a very complicated topic. It is good to have so many sharp political minds focused on the children.

If Trump's campaign was so transparently willing to ratfuck Hillary Clinton, laws and ethics be damned, what were they willing to do to get over on his primary opponents, four of whom would sit in judgement of him should impeachment charges ever reach the Senate? Man's got too many enemies for his own good.

Notice that the Republican Party platform's softening against Russia and the "deleted emails" attack both came in the immediate aftermath of these meetings, in what is surely a meaningless coincidence so please LOOK OVER THERE

That also says the money didn't come directly from any candidate's war chest.

So, how do we go from not being able to confirm either Republican or Democratic Party involvement in the investigation to countering criticism of Trump by conclusively stating Democrats paid a foreign national to dig up dirt on Trump?

I think you misspoke. What you surely meant to write was that that was when Reince Priebus, Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell and Steve Bannon all independently began their lobbying for increased Russian adoptions.

LOL. OK. I guess we need to investigate.

Lets get the guys from Fusion GPS under oath. Why hadn't this happened already?

    I think this is great.

Let's get everybody under oath. Rice, Lynch, the GPS guys. We've already had Comey admit to leaking government documents to the press. What else will we find?

Republicans screwed themselves with health care. If they get 50 votes to tear up Obamacare, they'll get waxed in the general election. If they cave and fix Obamacare, they'll get waxed in the primary.

All this reminds me: What's the status on that Russian sanctions bill the Senate passed 98-2?
