My team. LOL. On a board supposedly full of people who get paid to use words, I expect a little creativity with nicknames.

 

Well get in the ring and throw one out, Edmund Wilson.

 

Here's the problem with that: Trump can pardon everyone else, probably can't be charged short of impeachment, and Republicans won't impeach unless they believe it's politically valuable.

When you get to the point where liberals don't want Trump impeached because he is a boon to their 2018 chances, it's on the table. Until then, it's not.

If I had to guess, this ends with the firing of Mueller and lots of concerned tweets from Congressional Republicans with no actual consequences.

If it goes very far that way the voters should bury the GOP. What's scary is that I'm not sure that would happen, and just how divisive this might get. Trump will deny everything until he is dragged away. If this goes down Roy Cohn style...

More or less. Even YF knows, deep down in his heart, that Trump is everything we say he is and did everything we say he did.

He also knows that it takes a lot of work to prove it to legal standards and even then we can't make him if anyone else care.
