Took my son to see Cars 3 on Saturday. It was better than Cars 2, but not as good as the original (which I really liked, though it didn't score well on RottenTomatoes). The animation is incredibly good, perhaps the best I've ever seen. The middle really dragged, but my kid sat dead still every time there was a racing scene.

The story was quite predictable and I didn't care for the end at all. I would have written the ending completely differently. I'd give it 3 stars out of five, mostly for the amazing animation and the really well done racing scenes.

  4. Tarantino is prepping a Manson Family movie. Ho-boy.

The more I view his movies, the worse they get.

They put an all star cast around Gelman. It *looks* quirky enough to go watch.

Really, I can still rewatch 'Kill Bill' and 'Pulp Fiction.' I just love those movies.
I've given up rewatching movies the I did in the past, but I'll almost always stop and watching a little of 'Kill Bill' and 'Pulp Fiction' if I find them playing.
I really enjoy all of Tarantino's work, but those are the two I rewatch.

    Just watched 'Lion.'
I don't know if I've ever seen my spouse cry that much during a movie.

Love Pulp Fiction. That and True Romance are two of my all-time favorites.

Upon rewatching, the Grindhouse movies have really grown on me.

We saw the 'Grindhouse' double feature in the theater.
I enjoyed it, but I have never rewatched it.
Maybe I'll give them a stab next time I see them.

Death Proof is a fantastic flick.

And for as great as Pulp Fiction is, Inglourious Basterds is Tarantino's best and there's a wide gap between that and Pulp.

I really liked 'Inglourious Basterds' but disagree with your assessment.
'Pulp Fiction' is still his best work.
But a celebrate his entire catalog. I'm definitely a Tarantino fan.

Tarantino, Jonze and Malick are directors I will go to the theater specifically for their work.

  12. American Fable.
Saw the preview online yesterday and it looked interesting. Found it on Netflix.
It was bad. Pointless, actually with no resolution at the end and no explanation for stuff.
    Skip it.
