Both bases are like that. The base is not what put him over the top. He's certainly vulnerable. He benefits, though, from a dedicated opposition that is just as ridiculous and knee jerk as he is.

There's a good bit of meat in this Fox interview. It's fun seeing Tucker Carlson sputtering after he gets hit in the chops, but there are a number of good points made. Foremost that we're doing a pretty good job of squashing ISIS's Caliphate, but that once that's done we no longer have any effective allies in the Middle East. Our various policy blunders have empowered Iran, Saudi Arabia is flexing it's muscles, Turkey's gone Islamist, Iraq and Syria are both broken and we cannot effectively fix either. About our only allies left are the Kurds, who will likely wind up with their own state, even if it remains at functional war with Turkey.

There are also a number of very unkind things said about Putin and the Russians, leaving Tucker to attempt to explain his man crush.

100 percent agree. I'm just kind of expressing what I read in Facebook comments. I shouldn't read those, especially not for stories posted by the Roanoke and Lynchburg TV stations. Lots of anger coming from both sides there.
