Now that the government got its hands on health care, it will never get fixed. Whichever party in power is going to add, subtract, adjust whatever it can get away with. None of them give a shit about a workable solution. They're just trying to bullshit and pander to enough people to return them to/keep them in power. The federal government WILL NEVER relinquish the hold it now has on health care, and America will be worse for it.

 

A first step toward what?

 

The miracle of the private marketplace was certainly doing a bang-up job.

 

Please, tell me about the miracle of government bureaucracy.

When was the last time you put any thought into a political argument?

 

I'm not talking about any Democrats. Roy Moore has him outflanked on the Sharia Baptist front and Mo Brooks has him outflanked on the Tea Party Fuck Minorities front.

1) You're right.

2) People like you are the reason.

 

To allowing millions of more people to have health care coverage and, you know, not die.

You can't be tone deaf to all the people it's helped. And all the people who are desperate to make sure it's not ripped away.

But you know that. Is it a liberal dream to have single payer? Sure. But it's not going to happen in my lifetime, that's for sure.

 

Is there a rule that sports journalists absolutely cannot read sarcasm? It is stunning how literal this place can be.

 

Why didn't the Democrats say their goal was single payer? Shouldn't they have been honest?
