He's bought and paid for. Trump should not be alone in a room with any foreign leader. Especially Putin.

The larger lesson in the meltdown of the Republican attempt to repeal (and “replace”) the Affordable Care Act is that nobody can overcome the contradictions in today’s Republican Party – between libertarians and social evangelicals, between big business and faux populist Trumpoids, and between supply-side economic crazies and fiscal scolds.

But there’s a deeper lesson here, too. It’s that the Republican Party can’t govern. It now controls two branches of government (with Neil Gorsuch on the Supreme Court, you might say all three), and it can’t deliver on anything – not on health care, not on taxes, not on infrastructure, not on getting rid of corporate welfare and closing unnecessary tax loopholes, not on a single thing. All it can do – through Trump’s executive orders – is deliver unnecessary cruelty: to the families of undocumented immigrants who have lived and worked here for decades, to the poor, and to the environment.

 

They haven't governed much yet. They've got some time to get there.

 

Evidence continues to mount the President is a traitor. And by extension, so are those who defend his relationship to Russia.

Have other representatives of the US gone this route, meeting alone?

Why in the hell would he do this, optics alone?
