Nothing is more true than neither party wants to work with the other right now. What McConnell said may sound like sour grapes, but he's not lying.

We didn't invite them to the party, but it's their fault for not showing up.

You know, they can pretty much call each other on the phone at any time. With no one else present.

    But since you asked . . .

According to former President Clinton, Boris Yeltsin got so drunk during a presidential visit that he was found standing outside the White House in his underpants, trying to hail a taxi so he could go out for a pizza. The following night, a guard mistook him for an intruder after he was discovered stumbling drunkenly around the basement of the official visitor's residence.

No, there aren't always chaperones following these guys around.

Why would we want to be in a private meeting with Putin and not have our own interpreter there?

Lying? It's a non fucking sequitur. You guys run the country yet are no better at leading than Jay Cutler.

You can pass ANYTHING you want and it's sadly funny to watch you butt-sack yourselves and fumble the ball over and over.

And then you have the gall to blame the other team that you should be beating 52-6.

But I'll give qbert credit for saying McConnell and Ryan should be kicked to the curb.

I don't disagree. But he didn't need them to do a single thing. And he then goes and blames them for why it didn't pass. How about you and the President get with the four on your side who said no. Oh that's right, fire trucks and cowboy hats and golf were more important. Good thing there's nothing major to deal with next week so he can hold another rally for absolutely no reason except for his ego to be stroked.

The Cutler jab was uncalled for.

Eh, probably should have, I guess. Although our interpreters make dumb mistakes like saying Putin called Trump "brilliant" (what he called him was "яркий", which simply means "noticeable, something that stands out".

The GOP needed 50 votes to overturn something the Dems passed through the Senate with 60 votes. The truth is it didn't pass the test of covering the same amount of people for less.
It will be interesting to see if some of the hold-out states figure it might not be such a bad thing and opt to expand medicare in their states. Figure if you want to cut costs, you could start with prescriptions.

I mean, what's the point of working together when you know what you fundamentally disagree on the proper approach here? What's there to agree on?

If anyone has an idea that has a prayer of getting 50% overall but also at least 25% of each party, let's hear it?
