I'm back from hugging trees for a few days and feeling very liberal today.

I can't understand why Trump would end this program. Must be to placate Russia, right WaPo?

Or, maybe there were other reasons:

Weird how lying about all your meetings with Russia where the subject matter was election collusion in exchange for political favors makes it really hard for people to give you the benefit of the doubt when you do things that benefit Russia.

Putting doubt before reality is how democracy dies.

(Most) people know what's going on. No need to editorialize.

If you're a star, they just let you do it. You can move on them like a bitch.

I went to the Boy Scout National Jamboree in 1973. President Nixon wasn't there. The only "speaker" I remember was Bob Hope and some folks around me grumbled that he just did a rehash of his 1969 jamboree show. That year the scouts held two more-or-less symultaneous jamborees. I went to Idaho. The other was in Pennsylvania. My biggest highlight was seeing the real Colonel Sanders walking around the grounds. Mainly my memories are of about 40,000 people living in tents and getting in each other's way much of the time.
