You're gonna keep saying it, so I'm gonna keep saying it.

Health CARE is not being stripped from millions. In fact, the ability to go and have annual physical done is being stripped from NO ONE, and that is by far the most common form of health CARE in this country.

Health INSURANCE will be unaffordable for a few million --- it's unaffordable for a few million NOW, by the way --- and a few million more simply will drop their insurance (even though they could afford it).

A very tiny percentage WILL have a catastrophic medical event, and this bill will hurt or destroy their ability to pay for said treatment. That sucks. It really does. But the number is a lot closer to 32,000 than it is 32 million.

For all the liberals busy wishing McCain died last week, you're missing some peak Trump right now.

It's interesting that the health care fight is the one that really has little to do with Trump

That's the thing though: How many doctors will take you on for something routine if you don't have health insurance? Some will have the ability to pay out of pocket for things like a checkup, others—whom the ACA was trying to get on the insurance rolls—do not. If insurance gets you in the door for the little things then the loss of insurance means a loss of health care. And a catastrophic event can be as simple as a broken leg and a person is screwed. Loss of mobility means a loss of work means loss of income means loss of ability to pay a $30,000 bill to get your leg fixed. And people who don't have health insurance are more likely to only show up to hospitals during a real emergency that could have otherwise been handled by a regular doctor's visit. Hospitals take it in the shorts in write offs for people who can't pay or have to wait a long time for the government to reimburse them. Rural hospitals get it even worse because they don't have the case load to offset some of the uninsured costs, so they close leaving people to have to drive hundreds of miles for a doctors visit.

Is 32 million 100 percent genuine? Probably not, but neither is 32,000 which is why government intervention into heath care was a big thing.

So now the GOP will try to pass a shitty healthcare bill. Good luck getting the two factions of the party to agree.

And if they do pass something, it'll be an awful bill that has nothing to do with healthcare but rather a huge tax cut for the ultra-rich.

They just voted to ensure they have to campaign on a shitty plan in 2018.

    Good. Time to own it.
