You sent it? It might not have started out there, but I'd bet folding money it wound up in some accordion folder at the FBI!

In my day it was called "chicken scratch" and you didn't dare turn it into your fourth grade teacher, let alone the fucking President.

Seems a bit younger than 9. I am sure we will meet him and his hillbilly parents on tv any day now.

One of several reasons Adm. Fitzwallace was my favorite minor character on this show:

"I'm an Admiral in the U.S. Navy and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Beat that with a stick."

What do you mean, who cares?

A simple Google search shows me that Christopher Beck served as SEAL, not Kristin Beck.

Now, male or female, I'm sure that Kristin is a very strong person, physically, and mentally. And, she likely would have had the physical and mental ability to serve as a SEAL had she transitioned earlier in life.

But, she was a man when she served, so we can't compare her service, and how it may have impacted her unit, to how a trans female who has already begun her transition may impact her unit.

The question isn't simply are they strong enough.

My personal opinion is that if they can meet the requirements, they should be able to serve.

But, I don't think this is some clear cut case of discrimination. The military has a very specific mission, and I don't want it compromised by having to accommodate anyone.

I think we should at least consider whether or not integrating transgendered service members would compromise the mission.

And, I also think we need to skeptical of claims that it would compromise the mission. We've heard this argument before.

But, can we at least attempt to consider facts and data, and not rely strictly on emotions when considering this question?

There is no fucking way that 99 percent of parents, let alone all parents, are having their kid "redo" a letter that might as well be to Santa Claus because something is "scratched out." That's half the goddamn charm.
