Little guy's body isn't even cold yet, and you're cracking a joke.
Aren't you the same guy who was complaining about GDIAF?

He probably thinks Pocahontas led them (since that's the only Native American name he's familiar with).

Does God kill all those aborted babies, too?

You can argue whether the decision was right or wrong, but for all intents and purposes, the government -- which decided when the child's life was going to end -- killed him.

Perhaps if the child had murdered someone you might have more of an issue with such an intrusion by the state.

That's sarcasm. It's often used to make a point. Studies show that sarcastic people are smarter than message board posters with no redeemable qualities.

See, you want this to be about abortion *so* badly. But it doesn't really fit.

God decided that this baby would die very young. The people in charge of deciding what is best for him were split. Half of them wanted to subject him to medical experimentation that had no chance of saving him. Half thought this was wrong. Their system says that when that vote is split, the courts must decide.

It's a brutal case and there are serious, interesting discussions and tough decisions to be had about children's rights vs. parental rights and brief extensions of life measured against pain. We'd probably agree on a decent percentage of those issues.

But it had zero to do with abortion, little to do with government health care, and in no way is any government responsible for Ward's inevitable and horrifying death.

Keeping Ward alive so that he could be used in experiments has more resemblance to creating and harvesting embryos for stem cells than letting him die has to abortion.

Look at it this way. What if that was your child? Wait, nevermind. What if it was a loved one? Oops, that doesn't apply either. I guess you can't relate. Sorry.

This was a tragic to story to anyone with a heart. Maybe someone can explain it to you in a PM.
