    The connection to national security on this one is borderline Infowars level, afaict.

    He doesn't appear to be accused of doing anything to damage national security. He is accused of financial fraud. Some of the fringier places on the internet have speculated that he could have used his IT position to illegally access personal files of his employers, and those could theoretically led him to national security information, and that he could have been secretly passing that information to Pakistani interests.

    It's worth investigating, but as of right now, none of the people doing the investigating and who arrested him have made a peep about anything touching national security.
