Inbee Park is in the LPGA Hall of Fame. I wouldn't call her nondescript.

I meant charisma-wise; certainly she has won what 7 majors and an almost GS (although I think the 5 a year is a bit ridiculous.)

Fair point. She was perfectly nice the one time I interacted with her but she isn't exactly the charismatic type off the course.

Why should that matter? Inside the ropes is what counts.

I certainly respect that, but I'm just saying what will get the audience interested.

Surely LaCava can't stay in Tiger-induced retirement forever. Would be a great choice.

I think Bones wants a bit of break and will try out the TV gig for a bit. LaCava would be a nice get, though I thought J.P. was just fine. Obviously, something happened between them.

As far as I remember, the last thing that happened that we know about was that J.P. told Rory to get his head out of his ass after five bogies in six holes to start the Open. Which McIlroy did and considering how scattershot his game was, T-4 was not a bad finish at all. So I have to guess the decision to part was before the Open, and the wake-up call was the caddy's final act of both support and vengeance all at once.
PS: I think Mackay retired from caddying. Phil didn't let him go. He was a fine commentator and I can't imagine he'd come back to looping. For the first time in his adult life, other people are carrying his shit.

I like Rory and Fitzgerald, and I really hope the "You"re Rory McIlroy.....What the fuck are you doing?" or the misclub Sunday led to all of this.
    I sure hope not.
