The official press secretary account hasn't been changed to reflect that he's not the press secretary any more. (Though I believe his last day was either today or in the near future. One report had him in the press office today.)

As for his personal account, how is it any different than all the folks let go by ESPN who sang their praises after being let go? He doesn't want to burn bridges. He might want a job on cable tv, where access and being on friendly terms with the WH would help.

Plus, Trump recycles people. Roger Stone has been in and out with Trump a hundred times over 30 years. Lewandowski is in right now -- if not in a WH job. Even Scaramucci has been is and out multiple times in the last six months.

The 1986 tax bill under Reagan took two years to craft, required a lot of work done on a bipartisan fashion, and was done after Reagan had been in office for six years. Most of the really contentious political wrangling had already happened before the Congress really got started on it.


Trump, on the other hand, has done nothing but fail to get any legislation passed, the Congress is at near complete partisan loggerheads, and the rich contributors want their big tax cuts right damn now.

I mean, yes, I wrote what you just said. You'd rather lose elections than consider a Democrat who can't put the bathroom bill on the same level of priority as universal health care. Which is part of why we don't have it. The message Democrats, especially coastal Democrats, give off is "be for everything we're for, and, if not, fuck you, you're a bad person." That's how the nation turns red on a local, state and congressional level.
