Democratic leadership knows that. It's the base that gets furious about it.

I can appreciate that. The leadership is in a tough spot, corralling as it is a celebrity-obsessed, self-absorbed unicorn segment of the voting base that'd rather be cool at the craft whiskey bar than examine what it takes to have a functional, well-funded government. Clinton lost in part because she preferred to keep her company with stars while she took for granted the states Trump swiped from her. And I write that as someone who voted for her, who actually thought she'd be pretty good as president. but she, like a lot of top Democrats, really struggled to hold at arm's length all the star power that wanted to be around her.

"However, to the pragmatists out there and the people who don’t like purity in politics, yes, let’s come together. But get this through your fucking head: You must bend the knee to us. Not the other way around. You have been proven as failures, and your entire worldview has been discredited. You bend the knee to us and then let’s fucking work together to defeat these things, not with fucking means testing or market-based solutions but with a powerful social democratic message.”

Got anything from less than 24 years ago? That's like Truman investigating Teapot Dome.

    Deflect! Deflect!

Is the Clinton's Greatest Hits stuff an attempt at equivalency? Making Trump's actions within the realm of Presidential activities? An attempt to give confidence to Trump backers that even with "scandals" Clinton had a solid two-term presidency?
Shoot, everyone knew Fox would go all Clinton conspiracy, all the time if she won. Never figured they would have to resort to it after she lost.

Ehh, Joe will be 78 on Inauguration Day 2021, so nah.

He and Bernie should put together a Grumpy Grandpas tour.
