It's not that it is news. It's that if Trump "lets Obamacare die", then Trump and the Republicans own the resulting increases in the cost of insurance and the losses of coverage. It won't be the ACA's fault, it will be at the feet of those who chose to screw their constituents.

Right, its like Gingrich thinking that the government shutdown would be pinned on Clinton

LOL ... the ACA was so goddamn perfect that it didn't legally include an appropriation to fund the damn things. And somehow that's on Trump and the GOP.

Speculated??? He was there, enjoying the fiesta with Donny! Don't know if he was Campanella or Koufax, though.

You seriously don't think that the blame for it will attach itself to the guy publicly cheerleading for "letting it fail" and refusing to pay for the subsidies, as Trump has threatened?

The ACA was and is a long way from perfect... but action can be taken to try to fix the worst of the problems, rather than doing things which will cause it to fail deliberately, and fuck the people that will no longer be able to afford insurance as a result.

Sheesh. One minute you're on Trump for not following the law and the next you're on him for following it. Make up your damn mind!

I wonder what party these science experts are members of.

I don't know. If my Facebook feed is any indication, pet (particularly dog) lunacy is a bipartisan phenomenon.
