Funny how you post that as a Steelers fan is making pretty much the same argument for the Dolphins signing Cutler. Please note that even though Orville and I were in disagreement, we were discussing this in a civil manner. Then you had to chime in with a personal dig at another poster.

I posted that before you. I'll give you credit, oop. You're right on this football decision. As for you calling me out over personal digs ... LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.

Patriots have an awfully easy schedule at first glance, too. Things change and maybe (probably?) some of their opponents will be better than we expect, but right now, that looks like a cupcake schedule.

It helps that the Patriots are better than every other team in the NFL.

As for Cutler, I think he'll play pretty well but I'd be shocked if he doesn't get hurt at some point. Then Moore can kick-start his Hall of Fame career.

So you're taking up the YF method of debate? Somebody brings up a point you can't refute, you respond with LOL.

I had already typed out my post before I saw yours. Of course, you ducked my question.

Pretty funny seeing the sponsors on the backdrop. Very apt.

The reason why I think you sign Cutler - If he's playing well, eh, him vs. Moore is probably a wash to a slight push for Cutler. Moore has some equal or better numbers in mop-up duty, while Cutler has a longer track record of "success." (Relative term, I know.) If Cutler isn't working out, then you cut him, and all it cost you is $5M guaranteed, plus some of his incentives depending on how long he lasts as the starter, and you go to Moore (who's used to coming in as a backup) anyway.

However, you probably can't do it in reverse because of the timing. If you go with Moore to start, and he doesn't work out, then Cutler probably isn't going to be lured out of the booth five games in, to take over a 1-4 or 0-5 team. And if Moore sucks, and you can't sign Cutler, then you're probably looking at a third string type to come in. (Although, heck, maybe Kapernick will still be unsigned.)

I'm thrilled and ecstatic to be here playing for the ... uh, what team is this again?

I'll bet my profile pic for six months Matt Moore starts a game (over a healthy Jay Cutler) before the first half of the season is over.

Cutler/Moore... Moore/Cutler the Dolphins have QB issues, regardless of which guy is behind center.
I think the "system" thing is over-rated. A 34-yo QB with some injury history is a bad bet. Take Kaep, at least he's mobile.
