Are we just going to ignore the economics of why he's without a job? Investing $9 million a year (what he was reportedly looking for) in a guy coming off an abysmal 2-14 season who's presumably never going to be more than a backup for you at this juncture of his career is not a wise investment. That's a reality, regardless of whether he's the next Gandhi or Malcolm X.

    Gandhi had all the intangibles.

Yes. The Kaepernick story is second only to Tiger Woods for most miscovered topic. Writers lose their minds when the subject of Woods or Kaepernick comes up.

Has Kaepernick actually turned down an offer yet. I don't think a team should invest nine million. HAs someone thrown a low ball offer t him and he rejected it?

No. According to his people, no one has made an offer of any kind and there have been no inquiries as to his asking price. They say the $9 million figure being thrown around is complete bullshit - no one has ever asked them his asking price.

Kaepernick has been horribly mistreated by the NFL rumor mill and the coziness with Peter King and other reporters. John Lynch even went on the air to apologize to him for the leaks coming out of 49ers headquarters.

It was uneven for sure. First off, it's not exactly great prose. Overall the story and its organization seems fine to me -- until the end. I thought the anecdote to start the piece -- about picking out his wife -- was great. But the ending took a slightly jarring turn toward police matters and race relations in Dallas (without mentioning the ambushed shooting of five cops by Micah Johnson). How can you discuss race relations on The Undisputed and just gloss over it by saying,
Nowitzki described what he saw in 2016 as “not pretty” in terms of racial and social justice. He believes that education, respect and discipline are key to keeping his children out of harm’s way.

“In your head you’re saying it’s 2016, this stuff shouldn’t be happening in our society,” Nowitzki said.
Tbat's bullshit. You're omitting the elephant in the room.

You are a senior entertainment writer. You are tasked to write about the new Robin Hood movie.

"Set in the Middle Ages, the new Robin Hood film co-stars Oscar winner Jamie Foxx as Little John, a mentor to the man who steals from the rich and gives to the poor. In this retelling of a classic story, we’re getting something we haven’t seen before: real, honest diversity."

You look young, but that is no excuse for no research. And where is the editor? Of course I mean there were two prior black (moorish) Robin Hood sidekicks, Morgan Freeman in the Kevin Costner movie and Dave Chappelle in the lame Mel Brooks parody.

Why in the F is a sports website writing about whether the new Robin Hood movie has enough diversity in the cast?

It is a sports and culture website, a black Grantland if you will

So lemme guess if Little John was played by Michael Fassbender instead of Jamie Foxx the writer would be ripping the studio for a missed opportunity to promote diversity and inclusion
