Asuaje starts a 4-6-3 on Hamilton in the bottom half.

In the top half of the next inning Asuaje belts one to deep center.

Wait till you see how Hamilton repaid him.

 

Crazy catch, but it looked like he misjudged the ball by a lot. Looked like he thought it was going over.
Great adjustment to make the play, though.

If I was Frieri, I'd march into the GM's office and demand that they at least get a concession stand gift certificate for a beer and a hot dog. It's embarrassing enough. Might as well have some fun with it.

 

Yeah, sorry, it's hard to give credit for a badly misplayed ball. He went far to get it, but he should have caught it in stride (and then had to brace for a collision with the wall). MLB Network had a poll comparing it to Austin Jackson's catch against the Red Sox, which was far superior.

 

Watching the Cubs on MLB and Pence came out to the Game of Thrones theme song. PBP guy asks analyst if he watches, and analyst says, "I catch it occasionally." I mean, come on. Either you watch the show or you don't. NOBODY "catches it occasionally."

 

I'd tell the media that I was happy I still cost more than the GM's mom.

 

My dad does. It's as bonkers as it sounds yet it makes sense for my dad.

 

Ha! Same here. Although he finally decided to go back and watch all of it so he actually has some idea of what's going on. (I'm in the never-seen-it camp.)
