Is this true? I think of you as the board's foremost transgender rights person (even if you occasionally say "transgendered"). You didn't start that way as a poster?

I'm asking this sincerely. I don't remember your view being anything else.

That only works if people believe that he'll actually do what he says. His history of being a huge liar works against that belief.

Blowhard bluster is not as frightening as quiet determination.

I think this is exactly true. Trump was on vacation, doing the opiate meeting and then talking to the press. He ran his mouth without forethought, then got on Twitter and did it some more. None of that was thought out and passed by his advisors.

Then Tillerson pops up later and speaks the actual policy, and it is virtually opposite Trump's blather.

We just conveniently change our definition of "nut job" to satisfy whatever boot-in-ass pleasure center needs to be satisfied.

Yeah gee, a non-zero chance we could have a nuclear attack/ hundreds of thousands dead within a couple days.

    What's there to worry about?

Since we prevented Iraq from becoming a nuclear state, that one was a win, right?

Point sailing over head. One comment. From one person. On a message board.

    C'mon, man.

NK can set off nukes in any US city they want, pretty much any time they want. All they need is a container ship and a rental truck.

He's right though. It really would not even take that much. Put a radio or cell phone controlled detonator on the bomb, or even a timed detonator if you're willing to trust a schedule. Put the bomb in a container and ship it to the port of Los Angeles. Detonate it.

Put it in a small freighter, scuttle the freighter just offshore somewhere with a reliable breeze inland and you get the ultimate dirty bomb. A radioactive tsunami goes ashore and then it rains cesium and strontium 90 downwind. Look up the half life on those.

Or maybe the testimony he gave the day before to the Senate controverted things the FBI knew to be false

Come on, man. Just how close to the U.S. coastline -- any piece of it -- do you think a ship with murky origins that are suggestive of DPRK could get? If a fucking kayak comes out of a DPRK port, U.S. intelligence knows it.
