Rafael Montero has thrown 74 pitches in two innings.

    He's killing baseball.

It's uniform change for MLB's Players Weekend

What do you guys think of this? Personally, I love the idea -- but wish they had done something different for the Royals, Dodgers, Cubs and Blue Jays.

Kyle Seager has the best nickname on his jersey.

"You don't want 9 Joey Gallo's on your team but you don't want 9 Juan Pierre's."

    Thoughts?

9 Pierre's would create nonstop pressure on the defense.

If a team has 9 Pierres you might play a shortfielder, one in shallow left center and one just to the right of shallow center field.

Juan Pierre and his .361 career slugging percentage can take a hike.

He's one of my least favorite players of all time.

    Since we're bashing Juan Pierre:

SBNATION did a home state hits leaders map. From their notes -- Seven of Alabama’s top-eight hit leaders are in the Hall of Fame. The other one is Juan Pierre.

Juan Pierre .361 SLG, 2217 hits, 614 SBs

Vince Coleman .345 SLG, 1425 hits, 752 SBs

All that proves to me is that Vince Coleman sucked, too.

Juan Pierre is only tangentially from Alabama. Born in Mobile, but grew up in Louisiana (though he did play college ball at South Alabama).

Same with Ozzie Smith, for that matter. Born in Mobile but moved to California when he was in elementary school. Played high school ball with Eddie Murray.
