If someone disagrees with you politically, what difference does their heritage make? Or any fact involving that individual, for that matter?

 

If they're bailed out in time.

 

Let's face it, at most shops the conversation would be, "Thank God! Breaking news with art! We can save the centerpiece on the youth robotics team for Monday's A1!"

The torchlight march was something of an impromptu event before today's originally scheduled rally, no? Maybe the story about the judge approving the rally was the original centerpiece and an unrelated story was planned for the right rail. And when you only have room for two stories on the front (three if you underplay art), you're already down two strikes in the box.
