    It's only Tuesday, but I think the next week to go quadruple platinum overnight is when the Congressional Republicans realize they can't pass a budget or even a continuing resolution with real money for the Wall, and Trump shuts the government down single-handed.

    There was violence against peaceful counter-demonstrators too, including clergy members, but that didn't attract the cameras and attention of the more prominent clashes. But our friendly neighborhood Nazi apologists like to gloss over that one.

    That's actually part of Bannon's plan. He wants to shut everything down and smash it.

    He figures anything they can shut down that doesn't instantly result in absolute catastrophe, they can argue "we never really needed anyway," and so will never be restored.

    They can shut down the whole government, and if the nation doesn't collapse within 24 hours, they can say, "so what?"

    After yesterday's TelePrompter reading, white nationalists were saying that Trump didn't really mean what he said. Now they can point to today's performance and claim they were correct.

    But watching older interviews makes it quite clear that his brain ain't processing at nearly the same speed it once did.
