My grandfather was there on D-Day, and he killed Nazis as he fought his way through Europe. He killed Nazis to rid the western world of their particular brand of racism, nationalism and hate. He's been dead six years now, and I'm glad he didn't live to see the complete and utter shitshow the presidency has become under Trump, a man who sides with the same kind of people my grandfather killed.

I want Trump gone yesterday, but I'm also starting to believe that if he doesn't serve out his term, his Nazi friends will take to the streets. Then the rubber meets the road, and if those fuckers want to fuck with my city, my street, my family, I've got my grandfather's .303 British he brought back from the war. It had Nazis in its sights more than 70 years ago. It could again.

 

The pearl clutching over Wright's comments crack me up (especially in 2017) since the same folks had no problem when televangelists delivered the same message multiple times.

 

Not believable: I'm not a racist. I'm a good person. I was at the rally because I oppose the removal of the Lee statue.
