I've mentioned this before on here, but my wife was informed while in labor that her brother had died. It wasn't unexpected - he had late-stage colon cancer. But it still makes for a very strange dynamic each year on that day, especially for my mother-in-law.

    Yikes

It said in that Courant story that the other driver was coming from the cemetery, where he went every day to visit his wife's grave.

On other note, welcome back @Dick Whitman. Ya been out roaming the earth like Cain in Kung Fu? What do you have to report?

I read that twice and I don't understand what information I am supposed to glean from a restaurant being closed.

Yeah it's like a half-written story culled from other sources. Is it saying this cafe had been a regular haunt of hers? Unclear. And the private event? Perfect example of journalism in our time: half-assed and culled from other sources. I guess the TV station has a more in-depth report. Will have to watch it later after work

  7. It sounds like the paper knows she was drunk, but can't print it because it can't prove it.

Drinks at lunch, depending on the level it's not uncommon.

She wasn't going back to the widget factory after lunch.

And, she probably had to anesthetize daily to have to deal with Boomer.
