Careful there, Pearlman might end up writing a story about that in 2037.

Is there such a thing as a walk-off wild pitch? Because if so the Reds have thrown two in the last five games.

What's the most infuriating way for your team to lose a baseball game?

Probably walk-off balk. But walk-off wild pitch on a swinging third strike and walk-off threw it away while trying to turn a double play that would've ended the inning are up there, right? Check swing appeal is in the discussion, too.

One of my best friends has that series.
He texted me after the game and said that's the longest ball he's seen.

I just read that 60 years ago today during the course of one at-bat Richie Ashburn hit the same spectator with two foul balls. The fan's name was Alice Roth. The first ball broke her nose and the second one hit her as she was being placed on a stretcher.

Henderson Alvarez's no-hitter for the Marlins went into the books when they scored on a two-out wild pitch in the bottom of the ninth to win 1-0.

John Rocker lost a game one time when he dropped the ball and was called for a balk.

  11. That's how the Reds won the '72 NLCS against the Pirates. Bob Moose (great name) fired one to the backstop, allowing George Foster to score the game-winner in the bottom of the 9th in Game 5.

    I'd say walk-off bases-loaded HBP of a .220 hitter on an 0-2 count.
