See, the GOP never really could argue much against Obamacare on its policy points, because the public (and especially their public) was too stupid to figure out most of the policy points, and when they did, much to the horror of the GOP, most of the actual policy points were pretty popular, so they had to rephrase it "the lazy mooslim neegro president wants to give free health care to all the lazy neegros."

And of course Mitt was a really bad guy to lead the battle against Obamacare, since it was about 80% cribbed from Romneycare that Mitt himself had helped shove through in Massachusetts (and from most reports was working pretty well).

Needless to say this argument was never going to go over too well with the membership of the NAACP.

 

You're just flailing, dude. It's all right. It happens. Mitt made an anodyne speech to an unusual, for someone of his ilk, audience. Reading anything beyond that in it is just so much braying. I'm not surprised that some hack columnist fell into that ... no need for you to.
