I have no idea what kind of crowds they are likely to get for the Presidents Cup, but the Ryder Cup is the worst spectator event in golf.

On the team-match days, there might be 30,000 or 35,000 people there and there are four or five matches at a time. You can't walk with a match because you get to too many greens and tees and there's already a crowd of five deep. You could park yourself at one spot and watch all the matches go through, then jump ahead five or six holes and do the same thing, but you've spent a lot of time not seeing much action.

I'm the first to crap all over Fox's U.S. Open coverage. But it's awesome that we've been able to watch so much of the U.S. Amateur this week thanks to the Fox-USGA deal.

    I agree.
The Solheim Cup is taking place in that bustling golf mecca of West Des Moines, Iowa.
The crowd looks like they're doing a taping of Ellen.
Sorenstam was dancing with some woman on the first tee this morning.

Mark Lawrence Jr. bombs home an eagle on 17 to square the second semifinal. What a match.

And now he just hit GAP WEDGE from 156 on 18. Uphill. 30 feet past the hole.
    Good Heavens.

Bummed. But the rest of the country knows what we in Virginia already knew about Lawrence now. Baller. Huge things ahead in his future.

I watched some Solheim Cup today and thought it was really good golf. Lincicome BIRDIED the first SIX holes today; I don't care if you're Justin Thomas on Par 3 course, he won't birdie 6 in a row.

    The women are good.

    How about Lexi Thompson?
4 down after 4. Had all the makings of a drubbing.
Nordqvist was 2 under on the back, and lost 5 holes.

Wonder what Jimmy Walker's doing today for the eclipse. Surely there's no bigger fan of astronomy among athletes in any sports, let alone golf.
