    Shafer's off on this one.

    We are not in a modern age of knowledge - having it, seeking it, discarding it. White nationalists and supremacists are surely know- nothings, but lack of knowledge today is not unusual.

    We are in a high postmodern age of emotions - personal truth. That's part of what has ruined our political system.
