President Trump: The NEW one and only politics thread

Dems were seeking -- and receiving -- campaign donations from Trump until he began his run for President.

They never denounced him.

They never accused him of being a racist. Hell, the Clinton's famously attended his weeding, and Bill was a golf partner of Trump.

 

Stop it. We all know the Democrats don't have to answer for anything ever.

 

You're the one who made the equivalency. You're the one who has to defend it. When statues of Angela Davis are erected we'll talk.

 

Quite a bit of performance art today. I mean, it's all bullshit, but YF is trying really hard.

Pretty simple:
Nazis are bad.
Those who oppose them are correct.
Violence should not be used against them or police.
If violence is used, those people should be arrested and prosecuted.
A member of one side MURDERED someone last weekend.
Trump can't afford to anger Nazis and white supremacists because they make up a big part of his base.
Trump also is a bumbling idiot who is unfit for office.

Trying to blur any of these lines is crap. To say "many sides" and try to equate the evil shit going on with the alt-right, white nationalist movement with those trying to stop it is beyond laughable.

But keep trying really hard!

 

There doesn't have to be "equivalency". No two situations are the same.

It's a simple question. Can you appear beside Angela Davis, and still be a member of good standing in the Democratic Party?

The answer appears to be yes. Why not just say so?

 

Here's the problem. You're moving goalposts all over the place.

Somebody was discussing Robert E. Lee when you hucked this into the mix.

So you're conflating statues on public ground with a lack of denouncing of a person who doesn't and will never have a marble likeness towering over the courthouse lawn.

My position on Angela Davis is I'm not going to let you scream up and down about an angry black woman who says controversial things in an attempt to get us to forget about the white Southern Gentleman who fought a war to keep her as a slave. I don't have to like her tactics or what she says to call you out on your bullshit.

 

Democrats want to -- and largely are allowed to -- avoid these discussions.
