2017 NFL Preseason Thread: Ki-Jana Carter edition

Boldin retiring. Bills are left with a rookie and a guy who has yet to suit up for the team as starting WRs.

 

How bad must that situation have been for him to walk away after two weeks?

 

My guess is that it's more he realized it was time.

 

NFL exhibition season proves things we've known for a while:
1) The only noteworthy developments in the NFL in August are bad: injuries and suspensions.
2) There are way too many players on rosters.
3) Drafting Leonard Fournette in the first half of your fantasy draft is a wretched idea.

 

Agreed. Guy's had a distinguished if not Canton-worthy career. He woke up one morning and said "do I really want to go out here? As a failure with a team that's gonna go 4-12?"

 

Have they changed the rules on jersey numbers again, or is it just a preseason thing where I'm seeing a bunch of DBs wearing single-digit numbers?

 

4) Taking Anquan Boldin as a late-round sleeper pick in an early fantasy draft was not as smart as it seemed a week ago.

 

Teddy Bridgewater is evidently close to returning, which means the day the Vikings choose the wrong QB can't be far behind!

 

Never understood why you guys do fantasy drafts with three weeks to go before the games start.

We do ours Labor Day evening.
