Maybe this is just me being hopeful, but I can't imagine any way that Arya doesn't see Littlefinger playing them. And I think Sansa sees him at play, too. If not, why would she send Brienne off to King's Landing when Littlefinger suggested Sansa use Brienne as protection against Arya?

The Sansa-Arya plot is just annoying the fuck out of me.

It seems like if they'd take just a minute and have a chat, they'd figure out, "Oh hey - this is just Littlefinger fucking with us." Why are they being so stupid? And why is Bran letting it happen?

How old is Arya by now? 13? Doesn't she get to be 13, impulsive, head strong and in her case overly confident that she's right and everyone else is wrong. With all her training, she's still just barely into puberty

I thought the scene between the sisters giving memories of their father's death was an effective illustration of this. Both are young, headstrong and can't yet bring themselves to see anything from beyond their own point of view. Even when Sansa alluded to the horrors she endured at Joffrey's hands, Arya brushed it off with something like, "Well I don't know anything about all that, but ..."

Because they're Starks. That's their move.

If not, why would she send Brienne off to King's Landing when Littlefinger suggested Sansa use Brienne as protection against Arya? Or was he saying she should get rid of Brienne because Sansa might have to make a move against Arya?

I took Arya's speech about taking Sansa's face as part of the game of faces.....she's saying it believably because she's so good a this now but doesn't feel that way. It's up to Sansa to be able to tell, hence the game....

On Jon fighting the walkers instead of hopping onto the dragon......fit in pretty well with Dany saying about 40 minutes prior how dumb and brave all her suitors are. He was acting exactly as she expected when she was talking to Tyrion

The Sansa-Arya beef would have been better sooner and maybe they are setting up Littlefinger. I mean, we all want that to happen - have the sisters united blah blah blah. Sansa sending Brienne reeks of LF getting to her, but even Sansa said, 'only a fool would trust LF'. Having Brienne gone gives her a definite one-up against Arya.
What will probably happen is a huge meeting at Winterfell, Sansa giving some speech about treachery, calling out Arya and then either the guards take her, or Sansa then outs LittleFinger.

This was the first time I thought that the Night King actually can think and strategize; so who is he?

The Stark sisters storyline is really idiotic; but not as idiotic as the kidnapping of a white walker as proof/motivation to get Cersei to join up.

With all the sentimentality, I thought Jorah was going to get killed trying to capture a wight and they were going to use him as proof. It would have immediately brought Dany around, would have rallied the North and been a harsh example to the Lanisters.

As far as the Night King, I started getting a crazy thought in my head that he's actually Aegon the Conqueror (or some other Targaryen possibly). That way he can ride the wight dragon and brings this whole thing full circle.

Though not the plan, I think the wight will work out more because it'll convince Jaime. He'll turn against his sister when she tries to kill Dany, Jon and Tyrion and refuses to see the threat when the evidence is right in front of her face.

I was wondering for a moment if Cersei's reaction to the whole things will be "Well, if the Night King can kill dragons we should form an alliance with him."
