    The timing of this is great. Last night, I introduced Whitman Jr. to the work of Howard Zinn. He looked up from his reading and announced, "I don't look at Christopher Columbus as a hero any more. I look at him as a bad person!"

    Columbus Day is going to be a treat for his third-grade teacher this year.

    Maybe he did this.
