Barring a collapse, the Twins will sweep the Diamondbacks and in the process, Bartolo Colon will join the short list of pitchers to beat every current MLB team.

As corny and unhip as it makes me sound, this Cards-Pirates game in Williamsport is one of the best ideas MLB has had in a while.

In a game where the demographics are largely older, it was a cool thing to try to make baseball personal for the generation coming up.

Only grievance I had is that the players' weekend uniforms look like pajamas. I don't even mind the nicknames thing for a weekend, but the uniforms themselves are stupid.

That's a bold statement from a guy who has seen Kate Upton's vagina.

Perhaps, but we haven't had the opportunity to engage our other senses with it.

Dodgers placed 1B Cody Bellinger on the 10-day disabled list, retroactive to August 20, with a sprained right ankle.

Advice: Bellinger suffered the ankle injury on Saturday in Detroit and the first-place Dodgers have wisely decided to give the 22-year-old rising star an extended breather. Bellinger, the heavy favorite for NL Rookie of the Year, is sitting on a .968 OPS and 34 home runs through his first 101 major league games. He should be ready for activation when first eligible at the end of August.

Judge's strikeout streak ends as he gets pinch hit for by Ellsbury in a blowout in Detroit. He walked three times, scored twice and roped an RBI single to snap the 37-game streak.
