Just like Nugent, the guy is a phony. I'm not buying the God and country act. Not from him.

I went to high school with people like that. They were hardly the most pious people back in the day. Now the Pledge of Allegiance with "one nation under God" is a big deal to them, as is "Merry Christmas."
They're all so full of shit.

It's so odd. He's already been given allowances by the media that he's not a traditional politician. Without these detours into Tinfoilhatistan, he could have a lot more of his policy enacted by now and I imagine his poll numbers would be higher. People might even be sympathetic or at least have his back on the Russia stuff if it seemed he was serious about getting the GOP priorities passed. He seems more interested in yelling at the media. I think he knows he's cooked.
