Even if they could somehow prove that something like this happened, he's not President anymore. What could they do?

 

Birtherism is the Stairway to Heaven of Alabama politics. Hard to go wrong leaning on the classics.

 

Last year a birther said we won't know the truth about where Obama was born for 30 years because the judges he appointed will still be on the bench until then.

After that he said that the 2008 Detroit Lions would have won the Super Bowl if not for crooked refs.

Well, he didn't really say the second thing, but it makes as much sense as the first.

 

They want him retroactively impeached by Congress; they believe if convicted -- especially on the grounds he was never constitutionally eligible to take office -- that the Supreme Court (then solidly packed with Fucko appointees in their icky sticky fever dream) would rule that his entire presidency was null, void, vacated and stricken from the books.

Poof! Goodbye, Obamacare. Poof! Hasta la vista, Kagan and Sotomayor. Poof, poof, poof, everything else Obama ever did and everyone he ever appointed.

They point out the Constitution does not specify that an impeachment target must be a currently serving incumbent.

Don't laugh: watch for this if and when the Mueller freight train starts heading down the tracks.

Maybe Team Fucko will try to gin up a Jimmy Carter impeachment first. Or maybe they might go back and try to take out FDR.
