As the bottom of the ninth opened, the crowd of 19,859 was mostly quiet. Nothing moved, except the shivering ripples of the Allegheny River reflecting the lights of the downtown skyline beyond the outfield wall.

Yeah, it looks like an easy play when you zero in on the third baseman and run the video in slow motion, but what I saw in the real-time highlights was a pretty hard-hit grounder. Was it correct to call it an error? I think so, but 'a play a Little Leaguer should have made' is way overstating it.
