Yes, Cam's coming in between 7th and 11th QB on most cheat sheets. He'll last a little while, I believe.

I just finished a draft. 10-team PPR. Rodgers, Brady, Breed went 19, 24, 27, respectively. I grabbed Cam at 65.

    Full team:
    Newton
    Carr
    Hyde
    Ingram
    West
    Carson
    Beckham
    M. Thomas
    Pryor
    Tate
    Mathews
    Eifert
    Brate
    Patriots
    McManus

    Very enlightening. Thanks.

I'm definitely leaning toward picking just one PK and one defense and then just covering a bye week through waivers.

If Justin Tucker is still floating around in Round 11 or 12, I believe I'll bite. You still have to trot a PK out there each week, and Tucker will consistently provide more points than the next guy, especially with his distance potential.

I usually never take a kicker until the last or second-to-last round, depending on where I'm drafting (if I'm at the tail end of the draft, I'll take him in the second-to-last round, if I'm drafting early I'll take him in the final round).

Defenses, I think, are underrated in general. A lot of players neglect defenses, which makes for an opportunity to outscore your opponents at the position. I like to carry two good ones so I can play matchups.

In most leagues I will wait until the end. However, in a couple leagues where 2 defenses are rostered, I will try to grab two I like for matchup purposes as well. I also tend to look for "defenses" that have good return games. I like the upside of getting a return or three during the season.

We can roll out two QBs in our league if you want - so they go early. I'm hoping to land Cam somewhere in round five. Even if we just had one QB, usual suspects gone by three. We added an IDP last year and it was awesome. Kickers, I'll grab last round.

Zeke's appeal is today. Have him in auction league through 2018 but I likely will throw him back unless he gets a couple games knocked off.

Looks like there's a good chance this appeal drags out and ends up in the courts. If no decision has been made by this weekend and it appears he'll start the season, where do you draft him then? Or would you still avoid the uncertainty? I have four drafts in the next week or so. Rethinking my initial strategy of ignoring him altogether.

A buddy runs an odd league: 6 teams, 30 roster spots (23 starters). I drafted last night and took Zeke and Luck. Figure I can absorb their combined absences for a while and could strike gold with both in my lineup later.

You draft yet? I wouldn't imagine Cam would be available in the fifth in a SuperFlex league. They say QB is optional for the flex, but you'd be crazy not to put one in that spot. Even mediocre QBs are going to score more points each week than all but a handful of the players at other positions. That's why these types of leagues have guys like Cam go way earlier than they normally would.

Saturday night. It's the league I run and added it last year to mix things up a bit. The team who won had Cousins and Rivers, second place had Rodgers and Brees. I trotted out either third or fourth with Carr and Tyrod Taylor.

I just checked our history from last year - top four teams had two QBs in starting lineup, but with suspect WRs. I'll either go stud QBs or WRs

WR is always deepest position. Grab yourself two QBs. My strategy would be to get one of the top 3 and then load up on other positions for about 6 rounds before taking the best of what's left. Or, if you get shut out of the top 3, grab a couple second-tier guys like Cousins and Winston after getting your top RB and WR/TE.

The aforementioned league is what I guess would be called a SuperSuperFlex. We can start three QBs. I missed out on the top 3 but got DJ, Gordon and Zeke at RB. I ended up drafting five QBs: Carr, Winston, Dalton, Luck and Cutler (total homer pick).
