I think they all knew better, but they also know they can't fight both wars simultaneously. It was a Hail Mary. The blowback by so many viewers to how "stupid" the idea was baffles me. It makes perfect sense, even if it was obvious failure. Desperate times/measures and such.

So are we accepting Cersei being pregnant as true? I'm still inclined to call bullshit on it, even after the last episode. I think she knew exactly what touching her stomach would signal to Tyrion during their talk and is going to play that card to her advantage.

That's ridiculous; are they really going to make us wait until 2019? I'm pissed now.

Yes, and apparently it's going to be six 90-minute episodes. So I guess that will take a while to film and process the CGI.

They are doing shorter seasons with longer episodes because cast members get paid by season, not per episode.

Has it actually been confirmed that we have to wait until 2019? I'm seeing the speculation that processing the film is going to take longer which could push it to 2019 but I'm also seeing a lot that says they will be ready for 2018. Has there actually been confirmation we're going to wait two years?

I was seeing late 2018/early 2019, but now I'm seeing it could push to April or later in 2019. George RR Martin may get both books out before we see the last season at this point (kidding of course; we're never going to see the last book).

HBO is not going to put its flagship show up against Sunday Night Football, so even if it's ready by "late 2018," they'll push it to the spring.

It's not a coincidence they timed this 7-episode season to end by Labor Day.

I think Game of Thrones has reached the point you don't worry about Sunday Night Football. AMC doesn't wait for the NFL to be over for The Walking Dead, and it still had 17 million watching its season premiere last season. HBO would do fine with GoT if they wanted to put it in the fall.

That would mean running it against both Sunday night football and The Walking Dead. It seems those two shows share a lot of the same audience.

I have to wonder if the two year wait is going to lose a lot of viewers. A year is a long time to wait, but that's become the norm. But having to wait two years, ho w
They could air it in the fall and be fine, but they won't risk it. They'll probably shoot for spring 2019, ending around Memorial Day I'm banking.

Late to the game since JR and I couldn't watch until tonight but I loved seeing Medieval Carcetti get his. And what a snivelling little bitch he was. Always dangerous to underestimate women.
