Trump has a real, palpable desire to be a war president.
He can't wait to put on a bomber jacket and go "lead his troops."

For the photo op, of course. He wants the photo splash.

Actually, all he said was: "NO, BUT HILLARY!"

A Georgia Republican lawmaker warned a Democratic former colleague who criticized his support for Civil War monuments on Facebook that she won’t be “met with torches but something a lot more definitive” if she continues to call for the removal of statues in south Georgia.

State Rep. Jason Spencer, a Woodbine Republican, also wrote former state Rep. LaDawn Jones that “people in South Georgia are people of action, not drama” and suggested some who don’t understand that “will go missing in the Okefenokee.”

“Too many necks they are red around here,” he wrote. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you about ’em.”

Following up on the bad dads create bad presidents, wasn't Obamas old man almost completely out of the picture after age 3?

It is impossible to sound tough while saying the word, "Okefenokee."

This strikes me as amateur psychobabble without support.

First, do you have actual proof that Trump's dad was "an evil, evil man", or is that just speculation on your part?

And I can't say I notice historical backing for the presidential-daddy theory. For example, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama had decidedly bad daddies, but I rather liked them as presidents. Dubya plainly seems to have had a good daddy, but I didn't like his presidency at all.

Daddy issues are a pretty reasonable estimation in Trump's case.

I'd never state it as fact without knowing more, but he clearly has some major inadequacy and overcompensation issues. Those can be traced to bad fathers in an awful lot of cases.
