When people perceive every statement (or post) as an argument or a fight, and then assure that the conversation (or thread) becomes one.

It must be hard being as virtuous as you, being surrounded by the likes of us.

So, I mention you in a post where I agree with you about something, and later I don't mention you (or even hint that it's you, because it's not) in a post that has nothing to do with you, and I get an alert saying you've quoted one of my posts, and it's the latter?

    OK. Got it.

"Thoughts and prayers to the family."

And the new-age version: "Sending you love and light."

Write something heartfelt and personal instead.

I really struggle with that. As a writer, it's frustrating. As a human being, it's sometimes paralyzing. I overthink it and can't think of anything to say other than the usual trite phrases. Sigh.

Yeah, I do, too. But I've found ways to force myself into finding something more comforting to write.

Parents who abuse their kids by feeding them fast food and/or junk every meal, especially if their kids already have serious health issues.

    1) People who loudly proclaim how excited they are about pumpkin spice coffee being available.

    B) People who loudly proclaim how stupid it is that pumpkin spice coffee is available so early.

My wife falls in the first camp. It is something you just have to accept.

People who get excited about pumpkin beer [cough]Peter King [cough] is a thing that irks me.
On the other hand, people cannot complain enough about that crap taking over fall seasonals.
