It's a misconception that I'm sitting here banging angrily and out of control on a keyboard. My blood pressure doesn't budge.

I just get a little gangsta.

Happens a lot around here. I always find it funny when people claim to know the mental state of somebody through posts on a message board.

Other foolishness aside, Arrieta's rebound really has been something. I read that the Cubs might go with a six-man rotation for a while when Lester returns, which could be as soon as this weekend. Have you seen anything about that?

The Indians are playing two doubleheaders in three days with an off-day in between.

I was wondering the last time a team did this? Has a team played back-to-back doubleheaders in decades?

Dodgers swept the Cubs in a 5-game series at Wrigley to start the second half of the '88 season. The series included 2 doubleheaders.

It was one of those monumental moments of the season, like Hershiser's scoreless streak.

Does Quintana even make the playoff rotation?

Twitter rumors fast and furious the Tigers are going for a complete teardown -- offering to pay off hefty chunks of the Verlander and Cabrera contracts, just to clear 'em out.

Cabrera would be hard to move unless it's the Yankees, I guess. Dodgers and Cubs obviously don't need him, and the Red Sox aren't going to take on another aging veteran hitter's contract after clearing out Pablo, Gonzalez and Crawford in recent years. If Detroit does eat a bunch of Cabrera's contract, his new team would still be stuck with him through 2026.

There's bigger market for Verlander, but he tweaked an oblique in his start yesterday so maybe the astros won't pull the trigger.
