As someone who had Willie Hernandez, Aurelio Rodriguez and Ed Brinkman cards, I feel for you.

Gibson was a homegrown drafted/developed guy though. Verlander too right? You guys almost won in 2006 and 2012, that's not bad. (Remember Giants 1954-2010, nada). Until 2010, I'd say I was actually envious of the Tigers (cooler uniforms IMHO too.)

Now with Cabrera looking like just another guy, I get your frustration.

But you had McCovey, Mays and Marichal, Jim Ray Hart, the Alous and Jim Davenport. If Richardson had moved a step to the left or right -- 1962. And I feel your pain as well. I lived in the Bay Area through the Charlie Fox, Wes Westrum, Bill Rigney era (Chris Speier, John Montefusco, John D'Acquisto and the annual June swoon). I've frozen my butt off in June at Candlestick more times than I care to mention. And for what? To avoid watching Charlie Finley's lucky SOBs in Oakland. Couldn't even sell out a World Series with their white shoes and mustaches and stupid mule.

Seems like the woe-is-us is coming on a little thick considering the Tigers made the playoffs four years in a row in this decade, with three LCS and one WS appearances, then barely missed last year.

Nobody at the start of 2017 thought a team built around Cabrera and Verlander was a bad idea.

Ah, replay, or, as if this wasn't a disaster of a season already in San Francisco:

Sean Gentille: The Juan Nicasio fiasco proves one thing — the Pirates don't matter

The Pirates are certainly taking some heat for it. I think it is safe to assume that they don't care what the fans think at this point.

And the Pirates' response may be to blame the fans, pinning their refusal to spend money on a drop in attendance. Because that's sure to bring them back after a disaster of a season.

I was watching the end of this game. Will MLB give free tickets to the fans who were kicked out?

Crawford's wife managed to track him down via social media and got him tickets and an autographed ball.

Plenty of seats available just before first pitch for Mets-Astros.
