    It's Cutler. No question.

I believe it is just the $7 million this year that is guaranteed.

They also seem to think one of their third-round picks, Cam Sutton, will be able to help. The hope was that he could at least displace William Gay as the slot cornerback, but Sutton missed most of the preseason with injuries. He finally got back into practice last week and didn't look bad Saturday against the Colts' backups.

They did spend their first two picks on the secondary last year and both are starters, but they didn't do nearly enough to address the problem this offseason, which forced them to pay up for Haden.

I am a minority in this opinion and how, but I do believe Tyrod Taylor could be a decent NFL QB if he was with a slightly more functional organization. He can make plays. He's always done well against New England, which may prejudice my view, as those are the only Bills games I watch, thank goodness, but I think he's got real talent.

  5. The NFL could fuck up a 1-car funeral ... This is amazing, and yet not surprising ...

He's quietly been very effective the past couple of seasons. But I'm not sure that continues this year. He's hurt, he lost his top two receiving threats and it doesn't seem the new regime wants him.

NFLPA requests order to block any Elliott ban

NFLPA is seeking a restraining order to block any suspension of Ezekiel Elliott if NFL arbitrator Harold Henderson upholds any of the six-game ban the league imposed.

I'm guessing he plays in the opener against the Giants.

Browns release Osweiller but still owe him 16 million.

I realize not having the first cut makes it easier for teams going into the final game, but man it must be tedious cutting 40 guys in a single day.

"It was a numbers game. You worked hard. Keep working hard. If something changes, we'll call. Thanks. NEXT!"

I hope each of the Turks' offices have enough space to stack all those playbooks.

How brutal must the next week be for players, you're cut, maybe a team signs you, then cuts you when another player becomes available, then you sign with another team's practice squad.

I think the same thing happens when you get signed to do a pilot for a TV show - you spend a couple weeks shooting it, go on to do other stuff, the network picks up the pilot, but retools the show and recasts your part or cuts your character - or maybe not and you are locked in for the next five years, or your show could be done after a couple of episodes.

Do the Brown have anyone on the roster that's actually thrown a pass in an NFL game? Hard to believe he couldn't make this team.
